I got an early start at this! Here I am with astronaut (and later Senator) John Glenn when he was running in the 1970 primaries. This photo was taken on 20 February 1970, the eighth anniversary of his orbital flight.
It's John and then US Senator Howard Metzenbaum, both wearing a t-shirt designed by John, at the 1994 Ohio Sierra Club Retreat on Kelley's Island.
Back in high school I was a very good Putt-Putt player, including holding the consecutive aces tournament record for my home course and the lowest strokes per game average in the city (which had 4 courses at that time) in my senior year. But here I'm definitely out of my league! I'm pictured with Vance Randall during one of his promotional tours for Putt-Putt; he won both World and National Putt-Putt championships.
